These terms distinguish participation, candidacy, membership, recognition, and temporary office without creating a ladder of superior people.

Self-paced
Encounter the public philosophy and answer the central question: What do you seek?
Introductory participation
Attend open activity and encounter the culture without a commitment or membership status.
Candidate · ordinarily 3–12 months
Enter a period of formation and mutual discernment. Candidacy gives no vote and does not guarantee admission.
Full member
Following a multi-person admission decision and an approved, voluntary initiation, a Socius holds one equal vote from the moment of admission.
Admission is a multi-person decision made by a conflict-free committee of at least three full members; no mentor, chapter, interviewer, or individual may decide alone.
Standing and responsibility
A Socius is a full member with one equal vote immediately upon admission. Sodalis may recognise contribution or serve as a fraternal form of address, but it creates no higher class or authority. A Custos is a member temporarily entrusted with a defined office; the authority ends when the trust ends.
Greater responsibility means more visible accountability, not superior dignity, extra votes, permanent rank, or privileged cosmic knowledge.
