Sodalitas Quaerentium—the Fellowship of Seekers—is a philosophical and initiatory fellowship for adults drawn to knowledge, discovery, creation, self-knowledge, and meaningful transformation. Some searches are too important to undertake alone.
An orientation, not an answer
Seek what is true without pretending that truth belongs to us.
Sodalitas joins disciplined inquiry to friendship, self-command, service, symbol, and freely chosen commitment. Evidence takes priority over desire, and honest uncertainty is better than manufactured certainty.
Here, “initiatory” means meaningful thresholds, commitments, and experiences. It does not mean supernatural efficacy, a superior kind of person, or access to hidden cosmic authority.

Seek, Do Not Possess
Pursue truth without treating it as personal property. Name uncertainty honestly, test preferred conclusions, and revise when the evidence changes.

Free Mind, Open Mind
Keep your judgment your own, and keep it open to correction. Independence without self-doubt hardens; openness without judgment drifts into credulity.

Create in the World
Let learning eventually become creation, service, repair, or contribution. Understanding should deepen participation in the world, not become an escape from it.

Strength Through Fellowship
Practise loyalty, responsibility, honest challenge, and care. Difficult seeking need not be undertaken alone.

Desire Without Servitude
Neither fear desire nor surrender to it. Preserve agency, consent, honesty, and responsibility in the presence of intensity.
What seekers do together
Inquiry becomes a lived practice.
Relationship
Small circles, friendship, mentorship, and mutual assistance in which people become known without being made dependent.
Contribution
Creative work, practical service, professional generosity, and the patient maintenance of things worth sustaining.
Reflection
Attention to conduct, commitments, limitations, desire, and direction—privately and with trusted companions.
A clear boundary
Mystery does not excuse obscurity about power.
No required metaphysical doctrine. No authority beyond question. No rank of superior enlightenment. No isolation from the world. No punishment for leaving.
